Ethel Ray Willet, age 81, of Westminster, Maryland, died on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born February 17, 1930 in Houcksville, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Melvin Earl and Jennie Gertrude (Hughes) Rill. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert Daniel Willet.

She was a graduate of Hampstead High School, and spent the next 43 years in local banking as a bank teller with Hampstead Bank, Bernie Trust Co. in Taneytown, and retired in 2001 from the Westminster Trust Co. Ethel Ray was an active member of Frizzellburg Bible Church. She sang in the church choir and was a member of the Ladies Aid Society.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Glen A. Willet and wife Barbara of Westminster; daughter-in-law, Nora A. Willet of Taneytown; grandsons, Josh Willet and wife Tracey, Jesse Willet and wife Whitney, Jeremy Willet and wife Kathleen, Justin Willet and fiancée Nicki, and Jordan Willet; great-grandsons, Zachary and Ezekiel Willet; sisters, Loretta G. Harris of Westminster and Nona E. Utz of Jackson, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, James Robert Willet and by siblings, Charles, Vernon, Chester, and Earl Rill, and Jean Wilhelm.
