Ethel M. Gibson Proctor Ponder went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 4, 2021.
She was born in Center Point, Arkansas on August 17, 1926 to Harmon and Susie Gibson. She met and married her first husband, Eugene Albert Proctor, on January 2, 1942 and he preceded her in death on October 1, 1971. Following his death, she worked as a medical assistant and respiratory therapy technician. She married Coy Pope Ponder on September 27, 1986 and they enjoyed many years of traveling, eventually settling in south Texas for a few months each year. Coy preceded her in death on October 11, 2012.
She was living at Presbyterian Village in Little Rock before her death and is survived by her two children, Barbara James (David) of White Hall; Saundra Holaway (Randall) of Dixon, IL, and 3 stepsons, Danny Ponder (Nell) of Mountain Home, AR, David Ponder (Debbie) of Nashville, AR, and Tim Ponder (Carla) of Jonesboro, AR. She leaves many grandchildren, including great and great-great grandchildren.
