Ethel Marie Flemming, 93, of Palatka, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Community Hospice Bailey Center for Caring in St. Augustine following an extended illness. She was a native of Artemas, Pennsylvania, and had lived in Putnam County since 1967. Ethel had worked as a broker in real estate and was the owner and operator of Ethel Walters Realty. She had been a very active member of First Baptist Church in Palatka.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Jacob Walters, and Horace “J.L.” Flemming, son, Terry Walters, parents, John and Lucy Cavender, brothers, Richard Cavender and Franklin Cavender and sister, Edna Reiher.
Ethel is survived by her son, Larry Walters (Debbie) of Enterprise, AL, a daughter, Sherry McNett (Joe) of Satsuma, sister, Sylvia Yingling (Junior) of Altoona, PA, 8 grandchildren as well as several great-grandchildren.
