Ethel “Bobbie” Marie Rikard, 88 of Centralia, Illinois passed away, June 25, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Bobbie was born in Elk Prairie Township, Jefferson County, Illinois on December 19, 1926, the daughter of Walter and Rosa Page Williams.

She married Virgil K. Rikard August 27, 1945 in Mt. Vernon and they later divorced. She is survived by daughter, Sharon E. Kluthe of Centralia; two grandsons: Adam W. Kluthe and Dustin R. Lowery both of Centralia; one sister, Sylvia M. Stelmazeski of Mt. Vernon, and two brothers, John W. Williams and wife Karen of Enfield, Illinois and Ronald L. Williams and wife Madonna of Oakdale, Illinois; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Violet F. Williams of Centralia.

Bobbie graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School but later moved to Centralia where she resided for sixty-four years. She resided at Heritage Woods in Centralia and was an avid book reader. She was active in providing bible study groups to those at Heritage Woods, and worked for many years at AT&T as a switchboard operator and later as a bookkeeper at Old National Bank. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Centralia, member of Mary Martha’s Sunday School Class and the Christian Women Fellowship Group 5.

She enjoyed volunteering her time at First Christian Church where she often helped prepare food for grieving families, and was a Sunday school teacher. Bobbie loved spending time with close friends and family.
