Ethel M. Romans, 91, a resident of Gooding and formerly of Buhl, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Bennett Hills Assisted Care in Gooding.
Ethel was born on September 20, 1930 in Jerome, Idaho and was the daughter of Carl and Stella Walters. She was raised in Jerome and graduated from Jerome High School and then went on to Business College in Twin Falls, Idaho where she received her degree as a Legal Secretary.
She Married Dale Romans on September 9, 1948 in Elko Nevada. Together they raised 5 children and lived in the desert northwest of Paul, Idaho. They sold their farm and moved to a farm northeast of Buhl in 1988.
She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Garland Romans in 1986; her husband, Dale, in Oct 2009; and her 2nd son, Steve Romans in 2015.
She is survived by her son, Chip Romans of Buhl, married to Kim Romans; Chris Mensinger of Hagerman, married to Paul Mensinger; and Scott Romans of Wilder, married to Marilyn Romans.
Ethel has 7 grandchildren, Nathan Romans, Stephanie Romans, Katie Souza, Justin Vogt, Staci Vogt, Shauna Romans and Chris Feil. She has 8 great grandchildren, Ryah Jones-Vogt, Ellie Vogt, Charlotte Feil, Jack Feil, Nora Feil, Keirah McGuire, Elaynah Romans and Wyatt Mazur.
Ethel lived in the country most of her life on a farm and loved to ride horses as a child and into adulthood. She was quite the horseman, often training and finishing her own horses.
