Ethel J. Hiner, age 87, of Salem died at 7:10 a. m. Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 11, 1927 in Lisbon the daughter of the late John and Ethel (Skinner) Liggitt. Ethel worked at the Paul’s Cab Company as a dispatcher for 9 years and also had worked at Landmark Foods. Her husband, Lewis A. Hiner Sr., whom she married October 2, 1946, preceded her in death on April 3, 1993. Survivors include her two daughters, Janet Exline of Salem and Karen (Lee) Park of Morgantown, West Virginia; two sons, Gary Hiner of Masury, Ohio and Lewis Hiner Jr. of Sharon, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Helen Halko of Niles and Wilma Liggitt of Columbiana; a brother, Jimmy Liggitt of Columbiana; 13 grandchildren, 17great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. A daughter, Sandra Bhe also preceded her in death.
