Ethel (Constantine) Caridi, 90, wife of the late Clement Caridi, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3rd at Watrous Nursing Center in Madison, CT. Born on March 17, 1919 in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Athan and Ariadne (Lesbines) Constantine. Ethel was raised in Middletown and graduated Middletown High School. As a young woman she was employed as a secretary by the Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, CT. Following her marriage in 1963, she and Clem settled in Flushing, NY and became active members of the Bay Terrace Country Club, Bayside, NY. After Clem passed away in 2000, Ethel continued to reside in New York until moving to Madison, CT in 2009. Ethel was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, aunt, sister-in-law and friend. She not only was an avid reader, but was also fond of keeping up on current events and sports with her family.
