Esther Caceres Ramos (Mima), Age 83, of Bethesda, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2014 at her home in Bethesda, MD surrounded by her children and close family members.  Mrs. Ramos was born on September 23, 1931 in Callao, Peru to Maximiliano Caceres and Clotilde Leon.  She attended Colegio America and remained actively involved with her graduating class throughout her life. She worked in the Pan-American Health Organization in Peru and moved to Washington DC in 1962.  She was employed as an Administrative Officer at the Inter-American Development Bank from 1962 until her retirement in 1987.  She is a Third Order Franciscan and a member of the Society of the Daughters of the Saint Francis de Sales Association.  She was a long-time member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church and an active Sodalist at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church. She was a respected neighbor of the Springlake Condominium community.  To all who knew her, Mrs. Ramos exemplified the guiding values of love, grace, energy, and service to others.  She was steadfastly committed to her faith and family as a long-time Catholic parishioner, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. 

Esther (Mima) is predeceased by her loving husband J. Manuel Ramos (Consul of Peruvian Embassy) They were happily married for 23 years. She is also predeceased by brothers Luis Agostini, Alberto (Pirulo) Agostini, Rodolfo Agostini and her sister Amalia Adrianzen (nee Caceres).

Esther (Mima) is survived by her loving children:  Sonia Ramos of Bethesda, Maryland; Rebecca R. Cortese and her husband Michael of Potomac, Maryland; Luis Ramos of Virginia; Cecilia R. Lewis and her husband Britt of Potomac, Maryland and Yuri Agostini and his wife Carolina of Oakton, Virginia. 

Her great grandchildren:  Thalia, Lucas and Laila Mancini of Connecticut;  Pilar and Cecilia Murphy of Rhode Island and Maximus Almy of Maryland.

And many nieces and nephews.
