Esther Marie Elizondo (Naranjo) Born August 4th, 1935 in the San Luis Valley.  She went to be with our lord and Savior December 14th, 2020

She was raised in Del Norte Co. Her family moved to Pueblo. A graduate of Centennial High School was an avid Bulldog! Married to late Memo Elizondo. They were dedicated to each other for 55+ years, wife and homemaker raised 4 children and grandchildren.

We celebrate her life as a fantastic cook, love of music and she and dad could “cut a rug” like no one else! She loved to travel throughout the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean. She loved to “go up the hill” as she put it to Cripple Creek casinos!

Mom always had a great sense of style with her home and fashion. Mother was known to have many hairstyles over the years (thanks Terry).

She worked in various venues throughout her life, always willing to learn something new. Never afraid of a challenge. Her talents included, Bank Teller, working at the County Treasure Department, Real Estate, and was Owner of a Beauty Salon. She dedicated many years to the Pueblo Community, she served as chairwoman for the Pueblo Democratic Party in her precinct for over 30 years.

Her fisty Spirit and determination were known by many. Mother never met a stranger.  She would strike up a conversation with any one and she walked away Making a new friend.

Our family recognized her aspirations and perseverance. She had a will to continue her journey while on this earth. Mother was a Survivor, with numerous health issues over the years.

Late in life she became a personal care giver, taking classes, she became Certified so that she could help those in need.

Her clients were very near and dear to her.  This was one of her greatest accomplishments.

Lifelong friends are very few, but mom was very fortunate to have had these very special women in her life, Shirly Sanchez, Arcy Herrera, Late Theresa Lamas , Della Carrillo and Jane Rosales. Preceded by loving husband Memo Elizondo, parents John and Emily Naranjo; brother, Raymond Naranjo.

Survived by; brother, Albert Naranjo; children, Debbie (Robert) Hupp, Michael Elizondo, Patricia Elizondo-Zinanti, Karen (Michael) Shure; grandchildren: Amanda West, Austin (Stacie) Shure, Emily Zinanti (and her father Bill), Matthew Roybal and family, Robbie III (Krystal) Hupp; great grandchildren, Ava , Carter, Harper Esquibel and her father Paul Jr., Payton, Jaxon, Kooper and Cameron.
