She was born on April 27, 1926 in Middletown, Frederick County, Maryland, daughter of the late Eyster B. and Gertrude Mae Toms Bidle. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, Charles R. Poffinberger.
Esther was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Middletown.
