Esther ‘Louise’ Kelly, 84, of Jacksonville, died August 13, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born April 24, 1924 in Tallula, the daughter of Jones and Adeline P. Bennett Warmoth. She married John Kelly on Dec. 1, 1945 in Jacksonville and he survives.
She is also survived by two daughters, Patricia Kelly of Jacksonville and Tammy (Reginald) Allan of Chenoa; two granddaughters, Kelly Allan and Camron Sechrest, both of Chenoa. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Jim Lawson.
Mrs. Kelly was a 1942 graduate of Tallula High School and served in the U.S. Navy. She worked as a bookkeeper for State Mechanical Contractors in Jacksonville and the Morgan County Courthouse. She was a member of the United States Power Squadron Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star and an associate member of Pearl Harbor Survivors Assoc. She enjoyed all crafts, especially making porcelain dolls and sewing.
