The two honeymooned in Florida and Cuba then moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin where they spent 3 years before moving back to Massachusetts where they welcomed the arrival of their daughter Jan. While in Sun City she held a number of positions on the 18 hole golf committee for Women’s golf at Union Hill Country Club. She belonged to Ocotillo Chapter of the Questers, an International organization founded to preserve and restore historical landmarks. She would escape the heat of the valley by spending summers in Pinewood Arizona.
