Esther G. Bergeron, 94 years old, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich where she has resided for the last six months. She was the devoted wife of the late Francis J. Bergeron Jr. Esther was born in Central Falls, one of nine children of the late Ovila J. and Edith I.(Lambert) Goulet. Esther lived most of her life in Pawtucket and had been a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, now Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed working as a waitress at the former Algiers Diner of Central Falls, the Cup & Saucer Restaurant in Pawtucket and for several more years at Ruffles on Wayland Avenue, Providence. Esther always wore a smile, enjoyed people and was always ready for a good joke.
She leaves her daughter Suzanne M. Kriedt, and her husband David of California, Raymond Bergeron and his wife Louise of Florida and Richard Bergeron and his wife Janice of West Greenwich, eight Grandchildren, four Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Esther was predeceased by hers sisters, Edith Coelho, and her husband Albano, Dula ‘Sib’ Mulberry, and her husband Frank, Jeannette Hevey, and her husband Russell, Carolyn Pedro, and her husband Mario, Anita Guatieri-Dery, and her husbands, Angelo and Bert and Delia Mimms. and her husband Buddie, also her brothers, Edward Goulet and his wife Millie and Joseph Goulet and his wife Jeanne.
