Esther E. Calkins, 77, of 267 Sawmill Road, Cogan Station, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at her home.
Born March 21, 1932 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Henry L. and Lavina Shuman Derr.
Surviving are her sons, Ronald W., Jeffrey A. and Kevin S., all of Muncy; daughters, Judith K. (Anthony) Caputo, Rhonda L. (Melvin) Bitler and Brenda M. (John) Winder, all of Williamsport, Susan E. (Dennis) Logan of Montoursville and Debra J. Steinbacher of Nisbet; sisters, Evelyn June (Ben) Patz of Montoursville and Lavina M. Haller of Duboistown; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Esther was predeceased by her brothers, Elwood and Harold Derr, a niece, Tina Marie Haller and a son-in-law, Gregory Steinbacher.
