Esther F. “Betty” Sample Tomlinson, 95, Alexandria, passed away October 16, 2009 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a brief illness.
She was born July 21, 1914 in Kansas, and resided in Madison County since 1945. She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 23 years of service.
She is survived by her daughter, Marian Fred Prus of Anderson; son, Larry Marty Hoyle of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren, Robert L. Prus, Stacey Hoyle, Chris Hoyle, Troy Emily Hoyle, Debbie White and Lorrie Jeff Elder; three great grandchildren; one great great grandson; five step – grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Tomlinson; parents, John & Ferella Wiggins Sample; one brother and three sisters.
