Ester Gaynell Blankenship, 79, of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Heritage Plantation of Salisbury.
She was April 10, 1933 the daughter of the late Foy and Ada Sheperd.
Ester was a homemaker and a very devout Christian lady. She was a member of Seventh Street Baptist church in Statesville. After moving to Salisbury, she was part of the Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church before her decline in health.
Including her parents she is preceded death by sons, Sammy Blankenship and Donnie Blankenship.
Those left to cherish her memories are sisters, Virginia Miller, Joyce Pointer and Sylvia Waugh (Kenny); son, Lonnie Blankenship; daughter, Bridget Mounts; granddaughters, Kelly Parker (Darryl), Amanda Mounts, Shania Leviner and Caressa Mounts; great-grandson, Alec Michael and great granddaughter, Isabella Parker.
