Estelle “Sted” Michalak Bradshaw passed away on January 8, 2011 in Tampa, FL after a 3-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born Stefania Michalak on October 22, 1917 in Cohoes, NY, the daughter of Emil and Tekla Michalak.

She was the youngest sibling of one brother and 6 sisters: Michael, Olga, Caroline, Dorothea, Pauline, and Ann.

She graduated from Business College following high school. She and Edward “Brad” Willard Bradshaw, Jr. were married on February 3, 1946 at St. Peter and St. Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Cohoes.

In their early marriage, they lived and traveled throughout the United States during his Army career.

She worked for International Business Machines in San Diego, California. After moving to Huntsville, AL in 1952, she worked in Accounts Receivable at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and was supervisor until her retirement.

She was an avid seamstress and golfer and an original communicant of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish of Huntsville. She and her husband relocated from Huntsville to Tampa, Florida in October 2000 to be closer to their son and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, 5 sisters, and her beloved husband, Edward “Brad” Bradshaw, Jr.

She is survived by her only son, Edward Willard Bradshaw, III, his wife Brenda Pate-Bradshaw of Tampa, FL, 2 grandsons: Jonathan Patrick Bradshaw of Grand Forks, ND, and Robert Tristan Bradshaw and wife, Jessica, of Pembroke Pines, FL.
