Estel Love, 91, passed away on January 3, 2018, at University Nursing Center in Upland.
Estel was born on May 23, 1926, in Blackford County to Harry and Opal (Shroyer) Love. He attended school in Blackford County and served his country in the US Army. On March 9, 1947, he married Mary Jane Seidner in Economy, Indiana.
Estel was a professional driver and ended his career driving tour busses for musicians including the Gaithers, Ray Boltz, Sandi Patty, the Cathedrals, Priscilla Engle, Al Denson, New Kids on the Block, and Bruce Springsteen, among others.
Estel was a member of Union Chapel Ministries, the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA), and the Teamsters.
Surviving family include his son, LeRoyce Love (Jan) of Hartford City, two daughters, Nancy Moore (Rex) of Hartford City and Peggie Love (fiancé, Brian Laymon) of Eaton; five grandchildren: Todd Moore (Alissa), Tina Doskocil (Eric), Lisa Mauller, Kimberly Stickels (Shawn) and Michelle Love; eleven great-grandchildren, special friend, Ruth Boltz, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jane, three brothers: Lloy, Hubert and Francis Love and a grandson-in-law, Clint Mauller.
