Esta was welcomed home by our Father on November 30, 2013, while surrounded in love by family and close friends. She was born June 22, 1956 in Pueblo, CO and raised in Canon City. She spent a lot of her childhood at her Grandparents house with her brother and sisters learning how to run away from the chickens (which she was deathly afraid of) to taking care of and riding the horses. She graduated from Canon City High School in 1975. She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas McDowell, on August 6, 1977 and had two children, Lori and Jimmy. Esta held various jobs ranging from the radio station KRLN to Medical Records at the hospital and a Teller at Fremont Bank. But the number one job she held to the highest standard was being a Mom. Esta devoted her entire life to her children no matter how old they were.
