Mrs. Essie Mae Duncan Stephens, age 93, of Newnan, GA went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 14, 2016, with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Stephens was born on Wednesday, January 10, 1923, in Tugalo, GA to the late Balos Murphey Edge and Addie Martin Williams.
She was a proud member of Trinity Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Duncan and Frank Jackson Stephens; son-in-law, Rob Robbins; and grandson, Tim Duncan. Mrs. Stephens is survived by her sons, Rev. Rick (Aundrea) Duncan and Travis (Tina) Duncan; daughters, Carol (Edgar) Reese, Lucy Robbins, and Jill (Steve) Welch; stepson, Dennis Stephens; grandchildren, Rhonda Roberts, Karen Cheeves, David Reese, Melanie Reese, Nathan Reese, Bryan Duncan, Mike Duncan, Matt Duncan, Cole Welch, and Anna Welch; step-grandchild, Jeffrey Stephens and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
