Ervin Swartzentruber, 73, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 1:25 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at his residence. He was born on February 9, 1943 in Daviess County, Indiana to Jacob and Maggie (Wagler) Swartzentruber. He married his loving wife, Barbara Stoll, on December 8, 1963.
Ervin was a member of the Shalom Mennonite Fellowship in Epsom. He did construction and carpenter work around the area until his retirement in 2014.
Family members that survive Ervin are: his wife, Barbara Swartzentruber of Odon; two sons, Tony (Diane) Swartzentruber of Goshen, IN and Dustan (Wanda) Swartzentruber of Ligonier, IN; two daughters, Janice (Chester) Lehman of Odon and Carol (Leon) Wagler of Montgomery; twenty-one grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Amos, Glen and Aaron Swartzentruber, all of Odon and Alvin Swartzentruber of Montgomery; three sisters, Barbara Knepp, Kate Gingerich and Ruth Miller, all of Odon.
Ervin was preceded in death by: his parents; brother-in-law, Dolathe Miller, and grandson, Caleb Swartzentruber.
