Ertie Ruel Youngblood, 95, of Green Forest, AR passed away January 27, 2016. He was born April 2, 1920 at Raum, AR to the late Robert (Bob) and Harritt LuVesta (Nance) Youngblood.
On November 7, 1936 he was united in marriage with Irene Virginia Avery.
Ertie was a farmer, a welder and a blacksmith. He attended Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church where he loved to play guitar and sing specials. Ertie was passionate about music, and he sang and played at every opportunity. In his younger years he enjoyed coon hunting. He loved life and cherished his children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.
He is survived by his 3 sons, Gerald Eugene Youngblood of Green Forest, Donald Gene Youngblood and wife JoAnn of Green Forest, and Jerry Dean Youngblood of Harrison: 2 brothers, Jimmie Ray Youngblood and wife Alice Marie of Green forest, Joy Lee Youngblood of Ogden, Utah, 5 grandchildren, Douglas Youngblood and wife Rhonda, Angelia Parton and husband Lance, Kimmy Youngblood, Bradley Youngblood, Amber Benetz and husband A J, 8 great-grandchildren and a number of other family and friends.
Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Irene, 4 sisters, Edith Marie, Reba, Edna, Lucille, 2 brothers, Clayton and Robert Jr and an infant grandson.
