Mrs. Eron McLendon Crook of Turin, Georgia passed away June 1, 2014 at her home in Turin, Georgia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Bennett Crook and her siblings Emily Fox, Harold McLendon and Mercer McLendon. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Crook made themselves a vital part of the fabric of The Senoia United Methodist Church community. They established themselves as willing servants in the church as Sunday School teachers, serving on the various boards and committees, and Mrs. Crook participated in the church choir. Outside of her church work, she took great pleasure in gardening and needlework. Prior to her retirement she had worked 46 years with Spalding Knitting Mills in Griffin, Georgia. She then spent the next 12 years in The Clerk of Court’s Office in Coweta County. Mrs. Crook is survived by her children; Carol (Gary) Beckom of Griffin, Gail (Cary) Murphy of Thomasville and Linda (Jimmy) Westlake of Steamboat Springs, Co. She was the proud grandmother of Todd (Jennifer) Beckom, Stacy Beckom, Michelle Murphy, Brent Murphy, Jason (Kristi) Westlake, and Michael Westlake (Lois Brown). She is also survived by great grandchildren Jon Beckom, Kari Fowler, Grace and Ava Westlake, Aubrey Westlake, Ben Ashley and Kayleigh Harris. She is survived by one sibling, Lillian Whitlock.
