Ernie Young, much loved husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and true friend passed away on October 10, 2019 after a long battle with cancer.
With his positive attitude, Ernie fought his illness with exceptional courage and determination not letting it stop him for a minute. He lived each day to the fullest, touched so many lives and left us with so many wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. Ernie was an exceptionally kind, giving person who had a smile for everyone and a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed.
Ernie was born to the late Richard Young, and Marguerite Young on July 31, 1957 in Denver, Colorado. Although he very much enjoyed every opportunity he got to travel, he called Colorado home for his entire life. Ernie was a true Colorado Native.
Ernie is survived by his mother, Marguerite Young; wife, Kerrie Young; children, Heather Krueger (Brian Krueger), Andrew Young, Ian Young (Brie Young), Brooklyn Young; step-children, Lindsay Haley Corder (Edward Corder), Matthew Haley (Bailey Rhatigan); grandchildren, Isabella Young, Anastasia Young, Elizabeth Young, Alexis Young, Liliana Krueger, Calista Young, Jackson Johnson, Clover Corder, Finn Corder; siblings, Sharon Bramlett (William Bramlett), Timothy Young (Kimberly Young); nieces and nephews, Kyle Bramlett (Felicia Bramlett), Elizabeth White (Joshua White); in-laws, Dan Wilson (Anne Wilson), Karen Burns, Carol Asmus (John Asmus), Tom Wilson (Linda Wilson); and his faithful companion, Oscar.
Ernie was preceded in death by his father, Richard Young.
