Ernest Rasmussen, 81, died of Pulminary Fibrosis Sunday, May 4, 2014, in Durham, NC. Ernie was born to the late Nels and Orva Rasmussen May 28, 1932 in Laverne, ND. He graduated from Valley City HS in North Dakota in 1952, and received a certification in book keeping from Chilicothe Business College in Chilicothe, MO in 1951. Ernie married Marilyn Kneeland March 23, 1952. Ernie was employed by General Motors in Detroit, MI until he retired in 1985, when he and Marilyn moved to her home town of Chariton, IA.
