Ernie G. Paulos, age 65, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Ernie was born November 20, 1956 in Milwaukee, WI to Gus and Labrini (Giourta) Paulos. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He married Debra Davis on October 25, 2015 in Wisconsin Rapids.
He was employed by Noffke Roofing, Mequon, WI for 34 years, the past 11 years as a crane operator.
Ernie was quite the jokester and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He loved going fishing and traveling with Deb to Door County and Ashland, WI. Family was extremely important to him and he looked forward to returning to Milwaukee and going to Superior to spend time with his grandchildren. Ernie also loved to read. He kept an extensive home library of Christian books and as a car enthusiast subscribed to several muscle car magazines. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Debra; sons: Dennis Davis, Ernie Paulos Jr., George (Dawn) Paulos, Nick Paulos, and Mike Roeglin; daughter, Leisza (Jason) Raddatz; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemary Paulos; and brother, George (Laurie) Paulos. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, George; and son, Danny.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids and at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the care Ernie received.
Memorials may be designated to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids.
