Born September 14, 1942 in the Philippines to parents Felipe and Amparo (Cruz) Miranda. He is survived by his wife Thu Anh (Nguyen) Miranda and his three daughters: Ellaine Miranda-Villanueva, Malou Miranda-Tivoli, Lani Miranda and his son Edwin Miranda. He has five grandchildren: Gett and Kaelyn Villanueva, Julia and Jamie Tivoli and Bree Miranda. He has six siblings: Elenita Mendoza, Felipe Miranda Jr. (deceased), Alicia Geng, Lydia Bustamante, Rolando Miranda and Manulet Miranda.
He worked as an aircraft mechanic and has been working overseas most of his life. He migrated to the US four years ago and had worked for three years in the US. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.
His hobby was to organize all his tools in his shop. He loved tools, any kinds of tools even if he never used it. He just liked that it was an interesting tool.
