Ernestine L. MacNeil, 83, of Bellingham and formerly of Upton, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Blaire House of Milford. She was the wife of the late Arthur MacNeil.
Born in Needham, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Marion (Humphrey) Johnson. Ernestine was raised and educated in Needham prior to moving to Upton. She then moved to Bellingham in 1970.
Ernestine is survived by her son, John Johnson and his girlfriend, Susan, of Mendon; one granddaughter, Jennessa Dalton of Bellingham; one brother, Robert Johnson of Sandwich; four step children, James MacNeil and his wife, Marlene, of Bellingham, Richard MacNeil and his partner, Darlene, of Attleboro, Russell MacNeil and his wife, Linda, of Bellingham, and Judith MacNeil of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Estelle Randall and Bickford “Sunny” Johnson; and her step children, Arthur MacNeil, William MacNeil, Daniel MacNeil, and Jean Collins.
Ernestine’s family would like to extend their appreciation to all the staff at the Blaire House of Milford for the excellent care she was provided during her stay there. She will be greatly missed by her family, extended family, and friends.
