Ernest W. Richardson died on February 22, 2024 at Memorial Health Care.Born September 10, 1937, in Owosso, to Robert Richardson and Lydia Wesley. He grew up on the family farm where his passion for farming all began. Ernest was a generous and compassionate man who touched the lives of many throughout his life. He Graduated class of 1955 from Chesaning High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life Joan Burch on December 27, 1958 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Ernest attended The University of Michigan, before starting work at General Motors. After 33 years of dedicated service as a machine repair man for General Motors, Ernest retired in 1996 to pursue his true passion for farming full time. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Peters Parish.Ernest was known for his love of polka dancing, a joy he often shared with his late wife, Joan. He enjoyed taking friends and family on tours around the lake at his cherished cabin on Mullett Lake. He had a full workshop at home, where he could fix anything for family and friends.
