Ernest Green 86, of Saratoga Springs, New York formerly of Centralia, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in Saratoga Springs, New York. Mr. Green was born August 2, 1927, in London, England, the son of Ernest Arthur Green and Florence Mabel (Paine) Green. He married Edna Mehrtens on July 31, 1949, in London, England and she preceded him in death on April 7, 1992.

He is survived by five daughters: Sandra Green and significant other, George Biette of Saratoga Springs, NY, Sharon Hurst and significant other, Rick Marlow of Centralia, Alison Green of Centralia, Julie Pizor and husband Howard of Canton, Ohio, and Mandy Folmar and husband Jerry of Kernersville, North Carolina; eight grandchildren: Amy White and husband Michael of Clarksville, TN, Brandon Hurst of Centralia, Brittany Doehrel and husband Adam of Honolulu, Hawaii, Alex Pizor of Dayton, Ohio, Robyn Judge and husband Nathan of Burlington, NC, Lindsay Corey and husband Ryan of Kernersville, NC, Jamie Alton and husband Ryan of Centralia and Christopher Swartzlander and wife Corinna of Junction City; nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and loving caregiver and angel, Alicia Olney of Saratoga Springs, New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Francis Arthur Green.

Ernest served in the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm. Mr. Green moved to the United States in 1964 to work for Universal/Graphic Packaging. He was the Plant Manager of Universal/Graphic Packaging in Centralia and he then moved Saratoga Springs, New York where he retired and became the Consultant of Graphic Packing. He enjoyed playing golf. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
