He is survived by his wife, Joyce Shultz; four children, Wendy Pinkston, Candi Bedford, Ernest Shultz Jr., and Matthew Shultz; his mother, Margie Dunkle; two stepdaughters, Susan Cash and Jackie Nichols; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Shultz and a sister, Lois Catherine Shultz.
