Ernest “Lee” Poling, age 59, of Chestnut Street, Philippi, formerly of Grafton, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Grafton, May 7, 1952, a son of the late Ernest Ray and Cecilia Marie (Ashby) Poling. Mr. Poling had worked as a laborer and handyman.
Surviving are: his loving companion, Pearl Alcorn, of Philippi; eight children, George Poling and wife Laura, of Galloway, WV, Anna Liles and husband William, of Florida, Ernie Poling and companion Holly, of Galloway, Joseph Reynolds, Cindy Reynolds, and Ernest Reynolds, all of Canton, OH; Olivia “Rene” Thorn and husband Bobby, of Thornton, and Justin Robinson, of Buchannon; thirty two grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Roy Junior Poling and wife Janette, Fred Poling and wife Barb, all of Grafton; five sisters, Lula Bell Rogers, of Warren, OH, Loretta Jean Myers, Linda Lou Poling, and Patricia Ann Poling, all of Grafton, and Darlene Sue Jenkins, of Buchannon; many nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Ray Poling and Lester Poling; and three sisters, Genevieve Snyder, Gladys Marie Courtney, and Lona Frey.
