Ernest E. “Ernie” Scholes, 70 years, of Virginia, IL died Friday morning, December 15, 2006 at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.
He was born July 30, 1936 in Virginia, IL; the son of James Elroy and Luetta O. Votsmeier Scholes.
He is survived by a brother, Delbert M. Scholes of Virginia; two sisters, Margaret DeGroot of Virginia and Erma Mae Bulva (husband, Lester) of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Scholes; and a sister, Helen Vieira (surviving husband, Robert of Jacksonville).
Mr. Scholes was employed by the City of Virginia for over 20 years. He provided lawn service for many Virginia residents. He was a member of St. Luke’s Parish.
