Muncie – Ernest “Dean” Cross, 67, went to be with our Lord May 31st, 2014. He was born April 17, 1947, in Greenville, Ohio, the son of Carl Dean and Henrietta Speigle Cross, and attended schools in Ohio and Indiana.
Mr. Cross was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was formerly employed as a machinist at Anchor Glass, then Ball Glass, and retired from St. Gobain.
He enjoyed playing tennis, biking, and loved to travel..
Surviving are his wife Marci A. Hatfield Cross; three daughters, Deana Thompson, Jeana Cross and MeChele Back; two step-sons, Shane Pequignot, (wife, Amanda), and Sean Pequignot, (wife, Julita); eight grandchildren, Kyle, Cody, Deven, Chloe, Taylor, Levi, Sofia and Juliana; his great grandchild, Jayden; two brothers, Michael Cross, (wife, Agnes), and Rusty Cross, (wife, Susie); his sister, Carmen Noonan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Ricky Cross.
