Ernest “Butch” Wayne Westbrook, 82 years old, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 29, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on March 1, 1940, born to Ida and William Westbrook, Jr., in Baton Rouge, LA. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked and retired from the Local Union 198 and later retired again from the City of Baker Public Works. Butch was a loving man who served his family with a passion.
Butch is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Paula Herring Westbrook; son, Ricky W. Westbrook; three daughters, Monica Decker, Tonya Deville (Kurt), and Cherisse Carey (Brandon); 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Freeman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Butch is preceded in death by his parents W.R. Westbrook, Jr. and Ida Belle Lambert Westbrook; and his brother-in-law, Jackie Freeman.
