She died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, in her residence.
Born Aug. 16, 1929, in Fulton, she was the daughter of Clarence and Neva Marie Woodruff Tatman. She was married on March 20, 1946, in Cass County, to Jim Spencer, who survives.
Ermajene and Jim lived in Logansport until 1956, when the couple moved to Hobart. In 1992, they returned to Logansport, where they made their home until 2007, when they moved to Indianapolis.
For 25 years, she was a coach and score keeper for the Hobart Girls Softball League.
Surviving are her husband, of 63 years, Jim, Indianapolis; children, Linda and Leon Powell, Lebanon, Tenn., Sandy and Bill Jones, North Vernon, Bonnie and Jim Scott, Indianapolis, Bill and Greta Spencer, Lebanon, Tenn., and Tami Spencer, Redondo Beach, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, William, and Richard Tatman.
