Mrs. Albright died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in a Temple hospital. Mrs. Albright was born November 5, 1926 in Cyclone, TX, the daughter of Andrew and Selma (Schneider) Engbrock. She married Charles Albright August 13, 1955 in Temple. She worked for Scott and White for 36 years as a registered nurse. She was a long time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she married her surviving husband of nearly 60 years.
Erma was affectionately called ‘Mama’ or ‘Granny’ by her adoring family, and she had several hobbies, including gardening, bird-watching, and any game that involved her whole family. It was known by all that when a domino was ‘slammed fast’ on the table while playing her favorite game of ’84’ during our annual gatherings at Thanksgiving and Christmas…that she had you beat! Granny loved working in her flower beds, tending to them with care and waiting for any opportunity to use her binoculars and ‘bird identification’ book to see if she had any new visitors to her backyard paradise.
She was a dedicated and loving wife, ‘mama’ and ‘granny’ to us all! She will be missed by everyone she knew, but not more than she will be celebrated, just as we are confident in our Lord and Savior’s celebration of her return to Him! Survivors include her husband Charles Albright of Belton; two sons Michael Albright of Ft. Worth and Charles Albright of Beaumont; three daughters Andrea Vogel of Cedar Park, Rachel Harris of Friendswood and Catherine Churchill of Georgetown; one brother James Engbrock of Bay City; four sisters Patsy Morrow of Austin, Helen Tepera of Temple, Loretta Coufal of Oscar and Pearl Mesecke of Temple; and eight grandchildren.
