Eric D. Swanson, 48, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at his home. He was born on January 17, 1971, in Elgin, IL to the late Clarence “Butch” Swanson and Jennifer (Pursell) Calhoun who survives in Argos.
He is additionally survived by his two sons, Jeffery and Adam Swanson; brother, Scott Swanson; mother; and stepfather, Charles “Chuck” Calhoun. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Jeffery Swanson.
Eric had worked at Sierra Interiors for several years as a laborer. In his free time, he loved to fish. However, spending time with his two boys was his favorite pastime and they meant the world to Eric. He loved them immensely and treasured the times he had spent with Jeffery and Adam, especially when the three of them drove around their remote-control cars. Eric will be greatly missed by his family.
