Eric A. Ulmer, age 41, passed away after a short illness on February 19, 2020. He was surrounded by his family at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence.
Eric was born on December 24, 1978 in Kalamazoo, MI, where he remained a resident his entire life. He was the son of Adolf and Joan (Draper) Ulmer. On July 10, 2004, he married the love of his life Jessica J. Griffioen-Ulmer.
Eric enjoyed all things nature. On a beautiful summer day, you would most likely find him on a nature walk collecting and observing with his girls or tending to his garden. His interest and talent with computers started at an early age. His attention to detail allowed him to see the world in an amazing way.
Eric’s family was a source of pride and he loved them very much. Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Jessica; their three daughters Adeline (14), Metta (10) and Evelyn (5); his mother Joan Ulmer; his mother-in-law Beverly Griffioen; brother-in-law Jim Griffioen (Sara Woodward); niece Penelope; nephew Gram; Jessica’s grandmother Jean and many special cousins and friends. Eric was preceded in death by his father Adolf Ulmer.
