Ercie Marie Royal Gaultney, 87, of Salisbury passed away Thursday February 17, 2022. She was born March 21, 1934, in Wilkes County NC to the late Myrtie Jane Wagner and Joseph Manley Royal.
Marie loved music. Marie and Rev. Claude Gaultney would travel around to different revivals singing and sharing God’s love. She loved playing the piano, accordion, and guitar. She enjoyed listening to the Grand Ole Opry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Rev. Claude Gaultney, sons Ronnie, Tommy, & Donnie Gaultney and all her siblings.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons Jimmy Gaultney (Cathy) of Lenoir NC, Gary Gaultney (Nancy) of Roaring River NC, daughters Claudette Miller ( Nelson) of Salisbury NC, Darlene Mabe (Leon) of Salisbury NC, grandchildren 13, great grandchildren 20/step grandchildren 5, great great grandchildren 6.
