Enrique Maldonado-Rodriguez, 29, of Willimantic, left this earth on February 12, 2017. He was the son of Rosa (Rodriguez) Maldonado and the late Rafael Maldonado. Enrique graduated from Windham Technical School in 2000 and went on to get a degree in nursing from Three Rivers College. He worked at the West Avenue Community Center, Vanderman Place, Mansfield Nursing and Rehabilitation and Network. Enrique was always wanting to learn something new every day. He was the bright star in everyone’s life. Enrique was funny, liked telling jokes, reality TV, taking trips and loving the people around him. He helped inspire and support many people accomplish their own goals and dreams in life and never asked for anything in return. In addition to his mother Rosa, Enrique is survived by two brothers Holmes and Rafael Maldonado, Jr.; four sisters Maria Maldonado, Frances Maldonado, Sonia Maldonado and Yahira O’Donnell-Maldonado and many nieces and nephews. Enrique was predeceased by his grandmother Paula Gonzalez and grandfather Antonio Rodriguez.
