Enos Lawton Cooper, 70, of Poplar Plains, passed away Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Fleming County Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born August 27, 1942 in Poplar Plains to the late Enos & Nettie Honea Cooper.
Lawton was retired from GTE in 1992 after 25 plus years of service. He also had worked in real estate as an agent and auctioneer. He was a member of the Fleming Masonic Lodge #112 in Flemingsburg, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Glenn Cooper and Warner “Eggie” Cooper.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years Linda McIntyre Cooper; special nephew Dennis Ray (LaShonda) Cooper of Poplar Plains, KY; a very special great niece Emily Ray Cooper, who was a joy to him and always made him smile; special sister-in-law Debbie Cooper; 3 Sisters Joyce (Howard) Fischer of Cold Springs, KY, Nancy Powell of Flemingsburg, KY, Laura Denton of Flemingsburg, KY; brother Joe “Dopey” Cooper of Poplar Plains, KY; Several Nieces & Nephews.
