Ena I Blackmon Harvey, 90, Anderson, died April 27, 2012 at Meadowbrooke Rehab Center & Suites in Anderson after an extended illness.
She was born January 5, 1922 in Villa Rica, Georgia, raised in Vinemont/Cullman Alabama and moved to Anderson as a young wife and mother. Ena was a seamstress at House of Reagin/House of Stone and a homemaker all her life. She was a member of Kingston Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Elwanda Deuth John of Plainfield; son, Donald R. Johnson Kathy of Anderson; stepdaughter, Judy Harvey of Anderson; sisters, Audrell Brown of Anderson & Ruth Walker of Cullman, AL; brother, James C. Blackmon Irene of Anderson; brother-in-law, James R. Butler of Pendleton; grandchildren, Kevin Deuth Angie, Derek Deuth, Sr. Neile, Dawn Short Dan, & Joe Shanks Stephanie; great grandchildren, Jessica, Katherine, Amanda, Derek Jr., Robby, Brandon, Danielle, Kelsey, Jonah, Jackson, Alexander & Elizabeth; and numerous nieces & nephews. The family would also like to give special thanks to Meadowbrooke Rehab & Suites.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harvey, on December 14, 2001; parents, Marion Daniel & Aver Hendrix Blackmon; and two sisters, Evelyn Blackmon & Caudrell Butler.
