Emogean “Jean” (Ray) Spurlin, 87, of Anderson, passed away on December 2, 2021. She was born on March 14, 1934, in Crawford, Tennessee.
She was a loving stay-at-home mother and grandmother who always put family and friends first. She was a member of the Rebekkah Lodge and enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and playing cards with her family.
Emogean is survived by her children, Marcia Douglas and William (Valerie) Spurlin; grandchildren, Kylee (Ryan) Bond, and Elijah (Jacki) Spurlin; great-grandchildren, Brooks Bond and Hallie Bond; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hallie J. Ray; siblings, Robert Ray, Leslie Jr. Ray, Maxine Wilson, and Marjorie Gipson and former husband, Hanford Spurlin.
