Emmett F. Bailey, 74, Alexandria, died March 9, 2012 at I.U. Health – Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis after an extended illness.
He was born December 10, 1937 in Baileysville, West Virginia, and had lived in this area since 1959. Emmett retired from Delco-Remy Division of General Motors after 33 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Martz Bailey, whom he married, October 19, 1963; son, Travis Rachel Bailey of Anderson; daughter, Treva Bailey of Carmel; sisters, Beatrice Don Sheilds of Anderson, Violet Goddard of Beckley, West Virginia, Stella Lester of Hanover, West Virginia, Betty Clayton Shriver of Jonesville, MI, Retha Mike Shannon of Sun City, FL & Norma Butzky of Chicago, IL; brother, Larry Pat Bailey of Middletown; two grandchildren, Brooke & Kate Bailey of Anderson and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacy & Zula Holcomb Bailey and a brother, Junior Bailey of Michigan.
