Emma T. Ceroni, age 92 of Ridott, IL, passed away at FHN Memoria Hospital in Freeport, IL on December 9, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was born June 15, 1924 to the late Emil and Gertrude (LaBord) Alich. She married John Jr. Ceroni on December 5, 1944; he passed on February 22, 1997.
Emma farmed for many years with her husband and was a rural mail carrier for Ridott for 25 years. She was a member of the Rock City Auxiliary and Home Extension. She enjoyed fishing trips to Minnesota with family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, hand work, puzzles, playing cards and reading books. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, friends and her close friend Mary Mitchel.
Emma is survived by her sons, Emil (Sherrie) Alich and Dennis (Barbara) Ceroni Sr.; daughter, Sandra Lentz; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and brother, Robert Alich. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; daughters, Linda and Patricia; granddaughter, Tammy; sisters, Margret Henze and Betty Stroup; brother, Charles; son-in-law, Karl Lentz; and sister-in-law, Virginia Alich.
