Emma Lyle Boehme passed away Thursday May 18, 2017, in Clinton Utah. She was born right after midnight on a cold winter night on April 2, 1928, in Daniels, Idaho to Ida Ruegsegger Newbrand and John Joseph Newbrand. Because there had been a heavy snow storm, the doctor couldn’t get to the house. Her mother and father brought her safely into this world. She was the youngest of 7 children. She moved from Daniels Idaho at the age of 3, yet retained some memories of the old home which had a big porch and she remembers playing with kittens. Her family moved to Avon, Utah where her father operated a small farm. Avon is one of her favorite places. She loved the home and its’ beautiful surroundings. She attended South Cache High School, where she enjoyed singing with the glee club at different venues across Cache County. Later, Lyle went to Utah State Agriculture College (USAC), now known as Utah State University, in Logan Utah 1946-47, taking secretarial courses.

She met Heber John Boehme in Logan and they were married on August 27, 1947, in the Salt Lake Temple by Harold B. Lee. They lived for a short while in Geneva Idaho and then moved to their home in Raymond Idaho.

In 1973, they built their dream home and she loved every minute she could spend in her “new” home. Lyle spent her life working. She worked on the farm, supporting a workaholic husband.
