Emma Louise Jones Felder, born on November 16, 1930, the oldest daughter of Ulysses Jones, Sr. and Ruth Montague Jones ( both deceased) finished her earthly journey at 9:57 PM on December 9, 2007.

\\”Wese\\” as she was known to family and friends graduated from Washington High School in 1948 and from Shaw University in 1952.

Upon retirement as a Housing Specialist with the federal government in Washington, DC in 1985, she returned home. Her retirement time was spent volunteering as a Blues DJ for WSHA for seven years and as a clerical volunteer with Dr. Erroll Royall at Broughton High School for two years. She was also an active member of N
ARF until the illness of her beloved brother Ulysses Jones, Jr. (deceased) caused her to give devoted attention to his needs.

Emma was loved and respected by all who came to know her. She leaves to cherish her memory, devoted sisters Barbara Jenkins (George); Marjorie Jones Person both of Raleigh; nieces Carla Hagins of Raleigh, NC and Tanya Williams of Philadelphia, PA; devoted cousins Shirley Montague Goode (Leon), Paula Montague, Ruth Toole, James Kimpson, DeLo Barnes, Linda Hopkins, Mason cousins; a very special adopted sister Elvia N. Walker; special friends Eloise Hilliard, Gwendolyn Goode, Mrs. Addie Mae Williams, Ms. Pearl Hicks; special friends who consistently assisted in her care and comfort Charles Scurlock, Fletcher Watts, Jesse Jones, Kenneth Cooke and Ben Booker; the love of her extended families – The Martin Street Church Family, the Norris Family of Raleigh, NC, the Sarah Jenkins Family of St. Petersburg, Florida and numerous god nieces and nephews.
