Mrs. Emma Lois Hagans was born May 5, 1942 to the late Mrs. Lula Pearl Maxwell. As a infant she was raised by her grandparents, the late Susie Mae Silmon and the late Raymon Silmon.
At an early age she joined Hollin Springs Baptist Church, Hollins, AL.
She started school at Bunken Hill School for a few years. Her family begin to travel to Fairfield, AL, Decatur, AL, and Chester, VA, before coming back to Hollins, AL. Where she attended Ashland High School and later graduated from Clay County High School.
Mrs. Hagans moved to New York to make it her home before returning to Hollins, AL. She then relocated to Hartford, CT, where she Married the late Willie Hagans on July 8, 1962 and they resided there until 1986. They then relocated to Talladega, AL as Mr. Willie Hagans health begin to fail. God saw fit to call Mr. Hagans home on May 26, 1991, he was truly missed.
On October 22, 2020 Mrs. Emma Hagans departed this walk of life at Goodwater Nursing Home, Goodwater, AL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband, Willie Hagans, one sister, Annette Vaugh.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, one brother, Ralph Gertie Oliver; two sisters, Sarah Maxwell and Peggy Maxwell both of Hartford, CT; one brother in law, Jimmie Morrrison of Hartford, CT; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
