Waterbury- Emma Jean Wright, 79, of Waterbury entered into heaven on June 6, 2016. Emma was born February 14, 1937 in Aiken, South Carolina to the late Handy and Cora Wright. Emma moved to Williston, South Carolina where she completed her schooling. Emma started working at 12 years old, moving from South Carolina to Waterbury Connecticut in early 1954 where she started her family giving birth to her son Dennis Wright with whom she raised with the help of her sisters. She began working for Walks Dress Shop for over 20 years, as well as working as a cook at Southbury Training School where she retired after 22 years.
